Thank you all

On behalf of the HurlingDC team, Myself, Paul and Maria would like to extend a huge thank you all for your kind words and feedback on the tournament. All clubs teams in this 2023 group were a pleasure to deal with and you all made our job so much easier. We will endeavour to correct and improve some of the areas that need to be tweaked on the tournament going forward. We thank you all for your patience and understanding, accommodations made in order for us to get the tournament running smoothly. A lot of work went into getting it back up and going. We would like to thank all of the volunteers who helped us out over the five weeks. We would like to thank sponsors Informa, Specsavers Balbriggan, Moriarty’s SuperValu, Keoghs, and Fyffes for their support.

All the kids had a great time over the five weeks. This is down in no small part to the enthusiasm and passion that you the mentors and parents brought to it.

The format of this tournament, speed of ball, skill sets used is hugely relevant and a key tool in the development of the children. It was evident in the progression of the kids from week one to week five.

There are a number of items in lost and found which I will photograph and distribute to you all to see if we can find owners. If anyone requires medals let me know.

We would also like you to promote the tournament within your own club. In the haste of getting the word out about the tournament relaunching there were several teams within your clubs that weren’t aware that it was going on. If they sign up to the mailing list on the website, they will get all correspondence of the future events. We will be giving a lot more time to respond. Yours in sport
